The United First Parish Church, known as the Church of the Presidents, will have  its second annual Mother's Day Ceremony, Remember the Ladies, honoring the lives of First Ladies Abigail Adams and Louisa Catherine Adams. Immediately following the ceremony, visitors are welcome to visit the Adams Crypt that is located beneath the church sanctuary where the First Ladies are entombed beside their husbands, United States Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Details coming soon including opportunity to "meet" Abigail Adams.

Quincy Historical Society presents an encore matinee showing of the 1916 silent movie, A Romance of Quincy, filmed entirely in Quincy and featuring a cast of Quincy residents. The recently rediscovered motion picture was professionaly produced and has a plot that features romance, deceit and betrayal, action and crime and a happy ending, and contains extensive footage of the Quincy of a century ago. The showing will include a live piano accompaniament by Quincy resident, composer Del Case.

In honor of National Parks Week, the Adams National Historical Park will offer free admission Tuesday, April 19 through Sunday, April 24, 2016. National Park Week encourages visitors to enjoy the beauty and wonder of some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, historic places and cultural treasures for FREE! FREE tickets for tours of the historic homes at Adams National Historical Park may be obtained at the Visitor Center and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis during National Park Week.
