Rubi brings her popular preschool program to Quincy so put on your favorite dancing shoes and join us for this lively mix of music and movement for children ages 0-4 accompanied by an adult. Let’s take a walk where boats were built and planes once flew...and still do. DCR Squantum Point Park is rich in aviation and naval history. Today this 50 acre park provides cooling breezes and scenic views of the Boston skyline while providing valuable habitat for an abundance of birdlife. The Grand Finale of Discover Quincy's Pop Up Art Gallery, this is the last chance for the public to see how artists  have transformed a vacant retail space in Quincy Center into an art gallery featuring the work of 70 local artists and four pop up shops. Art is available for sale. Free admission and cash bar. This week's entertainment lineup inlcudes our resident D.J. Stenny and a performance by Young World dancers at 6:30 p.m.

Adams National Historical Park Ranger in his John Quincy Adams reenactor persona will give a guided tour of the historic Hancock Cemetery. From 1630 to 1854, Quincy’s most illustrious residents and civic leaders were buried here; Henry Adams, the first Adams to live in Quincy and ancestor of John Adams; Colonel John Quincy, for whom the city is named; patriot Josiah Quincy, Veterans of the Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War.

Join the Friends of the Blue Hills to enjoy the outdoors with your children during our bi-weekly Peek a Blue Hikes series. These hikes will occur every other Tuesday at 11:00 am, weather permitting. Bring your tots to Houghton’s Pond for a leisurely stroll to explore the outdoors. Participants will enjoy healthy snacks, juice and water and everyone is invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the hike concludes. Hike dates for 2016:  June 7 and 21, July 19, August 2,16, and 30, September 13, October 11 and 25, November 8, and December 6. *Note-No hike on July 5 or November 22
