Come early with a picnic and explore the exhibition Changing Landscape: Sculpture at the Eustis Estate, then enjoy music as the sun sets. The United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum welcomes visitors aboard the Quincy Built USS Salem (CA 139) with complimentary admission. Having served a distinguished 10 year career as flagship of the US Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean and the Second Fleet in the Atlantic, the USS Salem served as host to such notables as the US Ambassador to Spain, John D. Lodge; the Honorable Thomas S. Gates, Undersecretary of the Navy; Admiral Arleigh A. Burke, USN, Chief of Naval Operations; the Shah of Iran; the President of Lebanon and the King and Queen of Greece.

Come to Black's Creek for a chance to canoe, row, kayak or use the stand up paddleboard for free in a pristine saltwater lagoon. This equipment is also available for use throughout the summer. Seasonal memberships are available. Adult membership $35. Adult introductory kayak and canoe $15* Youth membership including lessons 1st child- $60, 2nd child $25, 3rd child- $25. Family membership $110 includes any youth lessons, adult lessons, and usage during designated times. On Fridays from 4:00pm-7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00pm-6:00pm we offer family boating.

Celebrate America’s Independence at the home of founding father and 2nd President of the United States, John Adams and 6th President John Quincy Adams.

12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Independence Forever: Re-enactment of the Continental Congress. Become a delegate to the Second Continental Congress and reenact the passage of the Declaration of Independence. Join the "band of brothers" who changed the course of history in 1776 and sign the historic document.

Parade starts at the First Church of Squantum and ends at the Squantum School. 10:00 a.m. The Squantum Parade Committee, founded in 1911, runs Squantum’s longest tradition and one that attracts generations of Quincy families.
