Starting with the City’s Signature Flag Day Celebration on Saturday, June 16, Discover Quincy is partnerting with many local organizations to showcase Quincy’s arts and culture, community, educations, historic and recreational assets. Each day will feature at least one free event, while some events may accept donations and others may have an admission fee. Click here to review the 2019 schedule of events.

The History and Visitors Program at the Church of the Presidents offers guided tours of the historic United First Parish Church and the crypt of the Adams Presidents Monday – Saturday 11 am – 4 pm, and Sundays Noon – 4 pm.

The 2nd oldest band in the United States Army, the 215th Army Band of the Massachusetts National Guard  is one of the nation’s finest military quintets and will present traditional patriotic music they have performed throughout the world for more than 60 years. Their music varies from traditional drum and fife to big band jazz, rock and pop, and New Orleans style brass music. In case of inclement weather, concert will be held at Central Middle School, 875 Hancock Street.

Home to the Weymouth Historical Society,the homestead houses a genealogical library with Weymouth records from the 1600’s, a shoe shop which is original to the homestead, a military room with memorabilia from the Revolutionary War through World War I, and a carriage house with antique sleighs, farming and ice harvesting tools. Open Wednesdays 9am - 1pm , excluding holidays or by appointment.

Operated by the Braintree Historical Society, the Bean Barn & Resource Center is part replica dairy barn and part state of the art. Enjoy the permanent exhibits, shop for local ephemera in the gift shop or dedicate some time to studying local and military history or investigate your family history in the extensive archive of genealogical records. Open for tours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The City of Quincy offers free guided walking tours, seasonally, starting inside Old City Hall. A walk through Quincy Center takes you on a voyage through time from the earliest colonial days, to the era of the Adams, Quincy and Hancock families, and to Quincy's decades of the national center of granite quarrying and building. Adams and Hancock Streets in Quincy Center are part of one of the oldest roads in America.
