Blue Hill Meteorological Observatory, located at the top of a scenic mountain range south of Boston, is a unique American institution. Founded in 1885 by Abbott Lawrence Rotch as a private scientific center for the study and measurement of the atmosphere, it was the site of many pioneering weather experiments and discoveries. The earliest kite soundings of the atmosphere in North America in the 1890s and the development of the radiosonde in the 1930s occurred at this historic site.
The 65th Annual Quincy's Christmas Parade Theme for 2017 is “The Legend of Christmas in Story and Song". Come watch the marching bands, floats, costumed characters, antique vehicles, and Santa's traditional fire truck ride to get in the holiday spirit at one of the largest parades in the Commonwealth. This holiday tradition is often attended by mulitple generations of families who usually have a favorite spot along the route; Hancock Street between Hannon Parkway and East Squantum Street. The parade kicks off at 12:30 pm.

During the month of November, score a seat at the bar at Marina Bay’s Victory Point and nosh on 10-cent wings available from 2pm-6pm on Mondays through Saturdays. On Sundays, enjoy 10-cent wings all day in the bar and in the patio dining room, which is home to a 10-foot projection screen, giving you front row seats to all the NFL action.
