The self-guided exhibition of 77 images will be on display in Quincy from Oct. 12 to Nov. 17 and is free of charge. The photographs can be viewed Mondays through Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. at Old City Hall, 1305 Hancock Street. The exhibition was recently on display at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., and will travel across the U.S.

The Adams National Historical Park offers tours of the Presidential Birthplaces and Peace Field daily from April 19 - November 10. During open season, the Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All Guided Tours begin at the Visitor Center. The first tour starts at 9:15 a.m. and the final tour starts at 3:15 p.m. and leave every hour. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Weekends in particular can be very busy, so the earlier you can be there the better!

The Adams Academy, built of Quincy granite, is an early and important example of Gothic revival architecture in America. Endowed by John Adams as a preparatory school for boys, it was built on the site where the legendary patriot John Hancock was born. Now home to the Quincy Historical Society whose museum showcases the city’s history from Native American times up through the early 21st century and archives are a major resource for information on local and area history.

Operated by the Braintree Historical Society, the Bean Barn & Resource Center is part replica dairy barn and part state of the art. Enjoy the permanent exhibits, shop for local ephemera in the gift shop or dedicate some time to studying local and military history or investigate your family history in the extensive archive of genealogical records.

The Church of the Presidents is the only building in the United States to house the final resting place of two Presidents. President John Adams, First Lady Abigail Adams, their son President John Quincy Adams and Louisa Catherine Adams are interred in the family crypt underneath the front entrance to the building.

For over fifty years the South Shore Neptunes dive club has attracted members from all over eastern Massachusetts. Today our membership includes over 130 sports divers ranging in age from 16 to 70. Our members occupations include students, fishermen, business executives and commercial divers. While some of our members have been diving for years, others are brand new to the sport. Club members can introduce you to a new world of divers and diving experiences. The cost of membership is low, and the benefits are many.
