Climb on and interact with construction and service vehicles. Learn hands-on about the vehicles you see in your neighborhood. Touch-A-Truck events offer the children new experiences and the chance to meet the men and women who operate these machines. Every Saturday evening, excluding holiday weekends, New England Wildlife Center sponsors the Catbird Café; the South Shore’s longest running open mic, playing original music. The Catbird Café is hosted by Steve Martin and his wife Cathy Donlon. Steve is a well-known musician throughout the region and brings a thematic consistency between the care of wildlife and music. Participants in the Catbird Café range in age from young elementary school students to octogenarians, from singing families to poets and belly dancers. Sign up to perform starts at 4:30 and performing starts at 5:00 p.m.
The USS Salem is transformed into a destination haunted attraction from the creator of Fright Dome; ranked #2 haunt in the country by the Travel Channels and #3 by USA Today. Attraction stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
