Home to the Weymouth Historical Society,the homestead houses a genealogical library with Weymouth records from the 1600’s, a shoe shop which is original to the homestead, a military room with memorabilia from the Revolutionary War through World War I, and a carriage house with antique sleighs, farming and ice harvesting tools. Open Wednesdays 9am - 1pm , excluding holidays or by appointment.

A walk through Quincy Center takes you on a voyage through time from the earliest colonial days, to the era of the Adams, Quincy and Hancock families, and to Quincy's decades of the national center of granite quarrying and building. Adams and Hancock Streets in Quincy Center are part of one of the oldest roads in America.

Carter Alan, Boston’s legendary rock DJ, will appear at the Quincy Historical Society on Wednesday, August 16th for a 7 p.m. reading, discussion, and signing of his new book, The Decibel Diaries: A Journey Through Rock in 50 Concerts.  In this book, Alan recalls and historicizes the importance of memorable concerts (many of which occurred in the greater Boston area) that he attended between the mid-1970s and 2015.  Mr. Alan is currently a classic rock DJ at Boston’s WZLX  radio, and was formerly DJ and music director at Boston’s WBCN radio.
